The Easybeats were formed in Sydney in 1964, and were the biggest Austalian rock band in the 1960s.  They have often been compared to the Beatles.

They released 8 studio albums during their 5 years, including: Easy (1965) & Good Friday/Friday On My Mind (1967).

 

The two guitarists, Harry Vanda and George Young, went on to become a very highly regarded song-writing and producing duo.
